Khea Adams
Director of Education and Events

Association & Non-Profit Management

James Madison University

Khea is the Director of Education and Events for JMPA and Miller/Wenhold.  She has over five years of experience in event planning and hospitality. She assists in coordinating all aspects of conferences each year, including site selection, budgeting, program development, sponsorships, transportation, registration, marketing, on-site management, and coordination with hotel staff, destination management companies, and outside service contractors.

Khea also helps with website maintenance and development.

Raised in a military family, Khea has lived in various locations around the globe. She earned a degree in Sports and Recreation Management from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. After graduation, Khea worked at many different resorts and hotels within the Maryland and Virginia area. She worked her way up and became the Restaurant Manager, and was able to learn the ins and outs of the hotel/resort industry. This was valuable coming into JMP&A, bringing to the firm experience and an understanding of the hotel perspective on association events.

Among Khea’s accomplishments at JMP&A has been to increase both the attendance and profitability of conferences, add new activities, and initiate a conference mobile app that has been met with excellent reviews.
