Fairfax, VA - Miller/Wenhold has expanded its longtime presence in the DC Capital Area sports scene by becoming the primary sponsor of Victorious Secret Football Club, and the firm’s logos are on the club's New Balance strip unveiled this Spring 2021 season in the Northern Virginia Adult Soccer Association (NVASA).

The Fairfax, Virginia-based company, which operates two recently rebranded yet distinct business units to satisfy wide-ranging clients, employs 10 people, and has now opted to forge a deep link with the coed soccer squad and entrenched community and supporters.

"We are proud to partner with Victorious Secret thereby helping support our local soccer leagues and competitions. Northern Virginia has always been a bastion of soccer talent and the sport is firmly embedded in the community and National Capital Area,” said Paul Miller, chief executive of Miller/Wenhold.

The two business units include Miller/Wenhold Association Management (MWAM) and Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies (MWCS), LLC. The MWAM logo features prominently on the front of the kit while the MWCS logo leads the line at the top of the back of the jersey just above the player numbers.

Professional services finalizing red logo placement and numbers on each white jersey were provided by Addison Bender of Winchester, Virginia, and an alum (BFA & MAT) of George Mason University (GMU) and member of the 2005 GMU Mens Soccer Team.

Miller/Wenhold’s Vice President John “JB” Byrd plays for Victorious Secret, and previously played in the May 2019 Congressional Staff Soccer match as part of the U.S. Soccer Federation’s partnership with the Congressional Soccer Caucus. Helping to promote the National Women Soccer League (NWSL), select Washington Spirit players participated in activities surrounding the 2019 Congressional Soccer Game played at Audi Field, the home pitch of DC United. The Spirit’s regular season home opener is June 6 at Audi Field when they host the Orlando Pride. The Spirit are currently in 2nd place in the NWSL. Both the Spirit and DC United won their most recent games on the road.

Miller/Wenhold’s longtime presence in the DC Capital Area sports scene has primarily been through managing the annual Congressional basketball game benefiting the Hoops for Youth Foundation. For over 20 years, the charitable proceeds and sponsorships have been generated from the bipartisan matchups involving lawmakers, Congressional staff, Federal agency staff, and lobbyists. The 2021 Congressional Fall Classic is scheduled for October 26 in Washington, DC.
